‘Ekphrastic Fantastic’: Art-encouraged poetry | Enjoyment

On Friday, March 29, from 5-7 p.m., the Artists’ Studio in the Foothills (ASiF) Art Heart will host the opening reception for the next annual “Ekphrastic Fantastic” Artwork-Motivated Poetry event. Ekphrastic poetry is poetry influenced by art. The most popular example of ekphrastic poetry is John Keats’ operate, “Ode on a Grecian Urn.”

This party provides jointly, to rejoice and cross pollinate—two distinct and flourishing communities of community artists and poets. Community poets have been invited to write poems influenced by artwork established by the resident artists at ASiF Studios. The will work of fifteen artists and nineteen poets will be displayed aspect by side in the center’s gallery.
